I’ll admit it. I’m addicted to Twitter. Beyond the laughs I get from the witty comments from @fakeapstylebook and @menwithpens, I have been drawn to Twitter for information I get in a minute’s notice.
I don’t have to weed through RSS feeds or independent sites to get local, national, and international news; instead, I browse 140 characters of briefs that give me the option to read further if I choose to do so.
Twitter keeps me updated on news, trends, and thoughts of colleagues, industry experts, and the average Joe. More than anything else, it leads me to some of the best blogs and articles focused on writing, journalism, and college media.
Just today, I came across the following:
- @freelancefolder: 25 Blogs to Help You Stay Current with Social Media
- @10000Words: 10 Incredible Interactive Audio Experiences
- @smashingmag: 20+ Must Have Documents for Designers and Developers
- @odesk: 40 Freelance Writing Blogs (And Why We Love Them)
- @freelancewj: 10 Ways Twitter Helps Me to Become a Better Freelance Writer
Without these resources and tweets, I know that I will survive. But without them, I’d have nothing to fuel my Twitter addiction.
Share your Twitter Fave Fives to further feed my addiction …
